Welder

Job Description

Under the direction of the Administration Coordinator, the candidate must act in accordance with established policies and expressed objectives; of the administration department which are:

ï‚·Read plans and drawings and take or read measurements to plan the layout and procedures

ï‚·Determine suitable welding equipment or methods according to requirements

ï‚·Use angle grinders to prepare parts to be welded

Install the elements to be welded according to specifications (e.g. material cut using power saws to meet measurements)

ï‚·Align the elements using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamping parts

ï‚·Weld the elements using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in different positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

ï‚·Repair machines or other components by welding parts and filling gaps

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Perform any other tasks at the request of the immediate superior.

Requirements

ï‚·DEC in welding techniques or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years

experience;

ï‚·Proven experience as a welder;

ï‚·Hands-on experience with various welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.);

ï‚·Practical experience with electric and manual tools (saws, squares, compasses, etc.);

Knowledge of safety standards and willing to use protective clothing (face mask, gloves, etc.)

ï‚·Spirit of analysis and synthesis;

ï‚·Sense of organization and planning

 Working conditions

ï‚· Permanent full-time position (40 hours/week);

ï‚· Immediate entry into service;

 Competitive remuneration;

 Hours and days: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 Maintenance repair technician

 Description 

 The Maintenance Repair Technician carries out various missions including:

  • Inspect buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they comply with health and safety standards

  • Perform maintenance on electrical systems (replace light bulbs and outlets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)

  • Participate in the configuration of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems, and carry out necessary repairs

  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and plan repairs if necessary

  • Perform manual repairs as needed (repair locks, replace windows, etc.)

  • Undertake pest control activities such as spraying insecticide

  • Perform general maintenance procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)

  • Help prepare the budget and ensure it is followed

 Requirements

 Reliable  

 Hardworking 

 Proven experience as a maintenance technician

 Be authorized to work and reside in Canada

 Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems

 Working knowledge of common tools, devices and peripherals

 A certified maintenance and reliability professional is desired

 Salary: $18 upon entry
